Class Description
Yoga and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT) are integrated in a weekly group to treat anxiety. Sessions include
therapeutic techniques to reduce anxiety symptoms, instruction and practice of
Asanas and Kriyas, and practice of Kundalini yoga meditations. The practice will
include breath-meditation techniques employed by Swami Ram Deva ji Maharaj and
the clinically validated yoga protocol for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,
conducted at UCSD School of Medicine (Shannahoff-Khalsa, 2005).
